Great Love:

Understanding Your Life's Purpose

Flow

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear…our presence automatically liberates others.

-Marianne Williamson

See the river, wide and deep… calm and steady on the surface, strong and mysterious underneath. Begin your journey across the river: swim with the flow, and let it take you where you choose to be; or, swim against the flow and struggle to the same destination. Great Love flows at any strength you desire, whether it is calm and steady or whether it is strong and turbulent. Great Love from an unending and unconditional source always flows… you determine the speed. Trust in the flow of Great Love to always carry you forward towards your perfect destination. Release yourself into the current and float, you will reach the other side and will enjoy the experience getting there. The other side may be further down the river and look different than what you first saw while gazing across, but it is not the destination that the flow provides… it is a journey, an adventure and a joy ride!

Feel Great Love as it flows from you, around you and through you. Others may reach for it, others may swim in it and yet others may flow in it. Great Love is a joyous ride for them as well. Be the river. Trust yourself to carry others in your currents, and allow them the opportunity to swim at their own strength, whether it is on the calm surface or in the mysterious currents underneath. There are those who will not allow you to help them arrive to safety. There are those who try to pull you in with them to share their struggle as you reach out to help. There are also those who will not accept any help at all. You may feel helpless as you watch them struggle. Yet, know the flow you are experiencing is perfect for your situation as well as theirs. You are here to learn and only the circumstances and the situations allow you that learning. Also, know that your flow may not be the answer for others… they must discover their own flow for their own growth. Let them choose to flow in Great Love, as you choose to be Great Love.
